Yes, we do customization.

The Salesforce Administrator or the Salesforce user that have access to the Time Tracker configuration screen can do some configuration changes as changing the default objects for tracking time, making the fields as Mandatory or non-mandatory, adding or removing additional fields for the Check-Ins/Out, etc.,

If there is any requirement that cannot be done using the Time Tracker configuration screen, can be done with some custom work.
