You can make the configuration changes for the Check-Ins using the Check-In Tab on the config page


  • Login to the Salesforce Administrator
  • Click on the App Launcher and go to the TT Apps Tab
  • From all App Key view, click the Name of the App Key for making the configuration changes
  • Click the "Config" button and go to the Check-In Tab in the App Config popup

Now you see sub tabs as General, Individual Check-In, Team Check-In, and Additional Fields


General

  • To enable/disable location tracking for Clock-In/Out and Check-In/Out
  • Enable/disable Auto Clock-Out or Auto Check-Out for the users after certain hours of Clock-In or Check-In.


Configuration for "Individual Check-In"

Configuration changes for the Check-In page for individual login


An Individual User is a user who only Checks In/Out of different projects. Could be a Financial Planner or a Lawyer. The company does not care about how many hours they spend at work, because they are salaried employees. The company just wants to know how much time the User has spent on different projects.


To make any changes related to the Check-Ins for Individual Time Tracker User


  • Click the SubTab "Individual Check-In"
  • Check-In type: Select the Check-In type from the list (by default the option is set to Job)
  • Take a Photo at the Start of the transaction: Mobile Time Tracker can click photos and submit it for Check-In, the photo can be enabled and made mandatory or optional
  • Take a photo at the End of the transaction: Mark if the photo is required before Checking out of a Job
  • Add instructions for the users at the start: Please add the required information about the photo so that Mobile Users can see it on the Handset 
    • e.g: Please take a selfie of yourself with your full face visible and the Job-site in the background
  • Add instructions for the users at the End: Please add the required information about the photo so that Mobile Users can see it on the Handset before they click the Stop Job button
  • Location tracking required at Start: Enable if location tracking is required for Check-In
  • Location Tracking required at End: Enable if location tracking is required for Check-Out
  • Save location tracking on Start: Enable the save location tracking field so that the location details are saved in Salesforce with Job details on Check-In
  • Save location tracking at End: Enable the save location tracking field so that the location details are saved for Check-Outs in Salesforce
  • Notes needed at Start: Notes can be made mandatory or optional for Start Job
  • Notes needed at End: Notes can be made mandatory or optional for Stop Job
  • Choose Icon: Choose Icon for Job or any other Object for which you are tracking Time, like Travel, Job, Loading, Unloading, etc.,
  • Choose Icon Color: Choose the Icon color for the above-selected icon


Note: Objects, Photo, and Notes fields for individual Check-In types can be made mandatory or optional.



Configuration changes for the "Team Check-Ins"


A Team User has an option to Clock In/Out and Check-In/Out of individual projects. This could be someone like an individual technician working on multiple projects. She would also most probably be an hourly employee. 


To make any changes related to the team users,

  • Go to the "Team Check-In" tab
  • Check-in type: Select the Check-In type from the list (by default the option is set to Job)
  • Take a Photo at the Start of the transaction: Mobile Time Tracker can click photos at the time of the Check-In and that is saved in Salesforce, the photo can be enabled and made mandatory or optional
  • Take a photo at the End of the transaction: Mark if the photo is required before Checking out of a Job
  • Add instructions for your users at the start: Please add the required information about the photo so that Mobile Users can see it on the Handset 
    • e.g: Please take a selfie of yourself with your full face visible and the Job-site in the background
  • Add instructions for your users at the End: Please add the required information about the photo so that Mobile Users can see it on the Handset before they click the Stop Job button
  • Location tracking required at Start: Enable if location tracking is required for Check-In
  • Location Tracking required at End: Enable if location tracking is required for Check-Out

  • Choose Icon: Choose Icon for Job or any other Object for which you are tracking Time
  • Choose Icon Color: Choose the Icon color for the above select icon.

Add Another "Check-in Type"


By default, the Time Tracker application has the option to Check-In/Out for Job/Travel. If required you can add another field for tracking time, like Loading, Unloading., etc.,


Track time for Loading, Unloading, etc.,


To add another field for tracking, you must add a new value for the Check-In type in Salesforce.


To enable the new Check-in type


  • From Salesforce Admin ID, click the Setup button and go to Object Manager
  • Click on TT Details from the label list
  • Click on the Fields and Relationships link from the menu list
  • Click on the Check Type from the list on the screen
  • Scroll down to the Values section, and click the New Button
  • Add the new Check-In type in the pop-up
    • e.g: Loading, Unloading, Work, etc.,
  • Save the page



Once you added the Value for Check-In type, add the new Value for Check-In/Out on Time  Tracker


  • Click the Check-In tab in the App Config screen and then click "Add another Check-In type button"
  • Check-In type: Select the Check-In type from the list (by default the option is set to Job)
  • Take a Photo at the Start of the transaction: Mobile Time Tracker can click photos and submit it for Check-In, the photo can be enabled and made mandatory or optional
  • Take a photo at the End of the transaction: Mark if the photo is required before Checking out of a Job
  • Add instructions for your users at the start: Please add the required information about the photo so that Mobile Users can see it on the Handset
