Yes, you can make the GPS Tracking Mandatory or Optional for Clock-In/Out and Check-In/Out.
If GPS tracking is required, Salesforce Administrator at your Org must enable the Check box "Location Tracking" in the TimeTracker Config screen in Salesforce.
Location tracking can be enabled for
- Clock-In - Clock-Out
- Check-In - Check-Out
Once the GPS tracking is enabled in Salesforce and if the GPS button is enabled on the user device, then it will automatically save the location for Clock-In/Out and Check-In/Out.
If the GPS button is enabled on the config page in Salesforce and not on the device, then there is a pop-up on Start Job/Travel on the phone that says you should turn on GPS to track location, with Cancel and OK button.
- Cancel: When the Cancel button is selected, the app will not track the location
- OK: If you choose OK, then the app automatically enables a GPS button on the device, and the Location is tracked for Clock-In/Out and Check-In/Out
Once the location is tracked, the location details are shown in Salesforce with the Check-In/Out details
