Managing Task Assignments in the Board Tab
All Task Assignments are displayed in the Backlog list on the Board tab.
Actions You Can Perform:
- Edit Task Assignments (e.g., update the Start or End Date).
- Reassign Tasks to other users.
- Update Task Status as needed.
Editing a Task Assignment:
- Click the pencil icon on the task assignment tile.
- Make the necessary changes, such as:
- Task assignment name
- Priority
- Status
- Start or End dates
- Tags
- Click Save to apply the changes.
- You can also reassign the task to another user.
Changing the Status of an Assigned Task
You can update the status of an assigned task in two ways:
- Drag and Drop – Move the task tile to the appropriate Status column in the Board tab.
- Edit Manually – Click the Edit button on the assigned task, update the status, and Save the changes.
Once the status is updated, the task tile will automatically move to the corresponding status column.
Default Task Assignment Statuses:
- New
- In Progress
- Testing
- Done
If you need additional statuses, please contact your Salesforce Administrator to configure them for your organization.
Additional Features in the Board Tab
- If a task is assigned to a single user, a single-person icon appears on the task assignment tile.
- If a task is assigned to multiple users, the tile displays a multiple people icon.
- Hover over the people icon to view the names of the assigned users.
Note:
- Currently, the status of Task Assignments must be changed manually in the Board tab.
- In the future, we will introduce an option for users of the TimeTracker Mobile/Web app to update the task status directly.
- Once implemented, the Board tab status will automatically update based on the status set in the TimeTracker Mobile/Web app.
