Yes, the Chatter users can use the TimeTracker application for tracking time.

By default, the chatter users will have access to Salesforce Accounts and Contact objects. Apart from these, they can have access to other 10 Custom and Standard objects in Salesforce.

The Salesforce administrator at your org needs to give permission access to certain objects to the Chatter users, so they can use the TimeTracker application for tracking time.

The Chatter users should have access to the below objects compulsorily for tracking time using the TimeTracker application

  • TT Users,
  • TT Details,
  • Give permission to Apex Class,
  • Users (Salesforce users object), and
  • The object that the user tracks time to
    • e.g: If the Time Tracking component is added to Project, give permission to Project object.

Once you give permission to all these objects, the Chatter users (Free and Plus) users can track time using the TimeTracker application in your org.
