To edit the Time details once they are approved


Administrator Setup (One-Time Step)

  • Your Salesforce Administrator should first create a Notification Flow that alerts you when a user requests a status change on a time entry. This ensures you're notified as soon as the request is submitted.


Once notifications are enabled:

  • You will receive a notification when a user adds a comment requesting a change to an Approved time entry.

  • Go to the Time Review tab.

  • Locate the specific Approved time entry the user wants to modify.

  • Change the status from Approved to Awaiting Correction and click Save.

  • Add a comment in the Discuss tab confirming that the status has been changed and the user can now edit the entry.

    • The user will receive a notification.

    • They can then make the necessary changes to the time entry and resubmit it for approval.



Editing Approved Time Entries via the Time Header Tab


  • Once you’re notified of a user’s request, go to the Time Header tab.
  • Search for the approved Time Header, click the user’s name, and go to the subtabs section.
  • Locate the specific time entry, click the Edit (dropdown) option, and set the status to Pending Approval. Save it.
  • Back in the Time Header list view, change the overall Status (Approval Status) to Pending Approval or Awaiting Correction. Save it.
  • Use the Discuss tab to inform the user. They’ll receive a notification, edit their time entry, and resubmit it.
