We have now introduced the contextual filter in the Manual Entry component of the TimeTracker application.
The contextual filter automatically filters and displays only the data related to the logged-in user and the configured object. For example, users will now see only the Accounts and Projects they are working on, instead of scrolling through the entire projects list. This makes it faster and easier to add time, as users can directly select from their relevant Accounts and related Projects.
While the example here uses Accounts and Projects, the contextual filter can be applied to any object in the Manual Entry component.
Please note:
The contextual filter is available only in the Manual Entry Lightning component.
It does not apply to Auto Tracking or Live Tracking components.
It is also not supported in the Multi-Entry pages, such as Multi-Line, Weekly, or Multi-Day tabs.
