The auto-scheduler should be set to execute at a time every day after one hour of the last shift ended in your org.

  • e.g: If the Shift End time is at 6.00 p.m. in your org, you can set the scheduler to execute at 7.00 p.m.
  • We suggest you set up the scheduler to execute by 7.00 p.m. is because by that time all the volunteers had finished volunteering.

When the scheduler is executed, it will at least take about 15 minutes to update the volunteer Check-Out time and Volunteer Status in Salesforce.

As we make the bulk update on Check-Out and Status change, the bulk update is set in a queue in Salesforce and that will take at least 15 to 20 minutes or sometimes it might take more than an hour to update it in Salesforce.

If the scheduler is set to execute very late in the night we are not sure about the consequences and the scheduler might take more time to update the details of the check-out time and the volunteer Status in Salesforce.

And if is set to execute after the last Shift has ended, it will be easy for you to check the status update in Salesforce also.
