Task Assignments in TimeTracker
All tabs display the tasks assigned to you. If you are a Manager, you will see tasks assigned to users who report to you.
If you are an Salesforce Administrator, you have access to all task assignments within your organization.
1. Assignments Tab
- My Tasks: Displays all tasks assigned to you.
- All Tasks: This shows tasks assigned to users who report to you.
- By default, the Assignments tab displays tasks from the last month. You can modify this using the Filter (Save Preferences) option.
- Save your preferred filters by clicking Save Preferences.
- To view tasks assigned to a specific user, use the Search option in the All Tasks tab.
- The Assignments tab includes default fields in the view. To customize the displayed fields, use the Show/Hide Columns option.
- Use the Edit (pencil) icon to modify task assignments.
2. Gantt:

- To view task assignments for a specific project, navigate to the Gantt tab.
- Select the project from the Project field to display all task assignments related to that project.
- Task assignments show the user’s initials to indicate the assigned user. Hover over the initials to view the full name.
- If a task is assigned to multiple users, an initial icon with a user count (e.g., +4) appears.
- Click on the Task Assignment Name to see detailed information about the assigned users.
- Click here to know more about assigning a Task from Gantt Tab.
3. Board,
Task Assignments in the Board Tab
The Board tab organizes task assignments based on their status. Tasks move through different sections as they progress:
- Backlog: When a task is assigned to a user, its status is set to New by default and appears in the Backlog list.
- In Progress: Once the user starts working on the task, update the status to Work, and it will move to the In Progress list.
- Testing: When the task reaches the final stage, change the status to Testing, and it will be added to the Testing list.
- Done: After the task is completed and confirmed, update the status to Done. The task will then appear in the Done list.
Hover over the people icon to see the names of users assigned to the task.
4. Resources tab
- Note:
- The background color of the task assignment is based on the Project, not the individual task assignment.
- This means that all tasks related to a single project will be highlighted in the same color for all users.
5. Table:
The Table tab functions as a list view, displaying data from various objects within the TimeTracker application, including:
- TT User
- Task Assignment
- PTO Details
- TT Expenses
- TT Details, and more.
To view data for a specific object:
- Select the desired object from the "Select Object" field.
- Click "Save Preferences" if you want the selected data to appear by default whenever you access the Table tab.
The Table tab allows you to view data in different formats, including Table, Tree, or Chart views.
